Required Training for All Leaders

All adult leaders, including committee, need to complete the following training on my.scouting.org (first time users will need to create an account).

1. Youth Protection (how to ensure scouts are kept safe while in the care of adult leaders).

2. This is Scouting (overview of scouting program).

3. Position Specific Training (choose the training module relevant to your position). 

To Take a New Course (or renew your Youth Protection)

1. Login to my.scouting.org account using your UserID & Password (or create a new account)

2. Click on Home in the upper left corner, then My Dashboard in the menu list. It will default to the My Training section and include the following: YPT, Training Center, Requirements, Completions)

3. Locate relevant course, click Take Course

4. PRINT OUT completion certificate and save for your records

Connect User Account to Membership #:

1. Login to myscouting.scouting.org website (note that myscouting.scouting.org is a different website than my.scouting.org website).

2. Click on Update my Profile (on left hand column under My Profile)

3.  Scroll down until you see Membership Info

4. Select a Council: Central Florida Council

5. Type in your Member ID (found on card issued by the BSA- If you cannot locate, contact the Committee Chair)

6. Click Add
